Colonel Thomas Waters Land Losses
"Schedule of Lands"A just state of the lands claimed & possessed by Thomas Waters in the Provinces of South Carolina & Georgia and lost to him in consequence of the evacuation of the said provinces.
1. A tract of land containing by survey 400 acres on Broad River ceded lands in the Province of Georgia.
2. A tract of land containing by survey 400 acres adjoining the above. ( No. 1 )
3. A tract of 350 acres of land on said river opposite the above. ( No. 1 )
4. A tract of 600 acres of land with a mill seat adjoining the last mentioned tract. ( No. 3 )
5. A tract of 400 acres at the entrance of said river into the Savannah River adjoining the above with a very reliable mill seat.
6. A tract of 100 acres on the Savannah River, 30 acres of which is cleared & improved.
7. A tract of 1500 acres of land on Savannah River adjoins the above with a mill seat. A large portion of rich swamp land & high land, 200 acres of which is cleared with______. On which is built a good dwelling house two story, 30 by 20 feet , well finished with barn, stables & a number of negro houses and other out buildings. The whole of this tract exceding good & allowed to be the best in the whole of the ceded lands.
8. A tract of land containing by survey 300 acres in South Carolina near the Township of New Bordeaux.
9. A tract of 300 acres on Savannah River in said province ( SC) with a smale improvement.
10. A tract of 150 acres of land in South Carolina laying opposite Augusta in Georgia on Savannah River. 100 acres which is improved.

Hume, Esq., Chief Justice of the said province personally appeared Thomas
Waters at present of Saint Augustine, late of the Province of Georgia and
being duly sworn did depose and say that what is on the other side written
and contained is a true & exact statement and true estimation of property
lost by the said Thomas Waters by reason of the evacuation of Georgia,
that the said land & houses & improvements theron are justly &
truly set forth and estimated & valued moderately and below what they
were worth before the capture of said province. Sworn at Saint Augustine
