Andrew Jackson Morgan was born 10 June 1818 in Georgia. He was  the son of James Morgan (  1797 - 1850-60) and his wife Sarah ( died after 1880 ). By 1830 the family lived in DeKalb County, Georgia. Andrew & Elizabeth married on 21 February 1841 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry Bramlett ( 1801 - 1879 ) and his wife Martha " Patsey" Gober ( 1801 - 1861).

In early 1843 Andrew & Elizabeth moved with Elizabeth's family to Choctaw County, Mississippi. Andrew died 19 July 1889 and Elizabeth died 18 October 1898. Both are buried at Old Free Will Methodist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County, Mississippi. ( It is now known as Williams Springs Church and is not a Methodist Church )

1. William Asbury Morgan born 15 January 1843 in DeKalb County, Georgia. See next page for his family.

2. James Leander Morgan born 19 August 1844 in Choctaw County, Mississippi.

3.Martha Malvina Morgan born 19 February 1847.

4. Sarah Jane Morgan born 16 April 1849. She married J.T. Neely.

5. Elizabeth Ann Morgan born 3 March 1851. She married John Pearson.

6. Mary Mandy Morgan born 6 June 1853. She married Bill Steen.

7. Georgia Ann Morgan born 11 April 1855. She married Al Pearson.

8. Nancy Morgan born 4 March 1857: died 9 March 1860.

9. Andrew Jackson Morgan, Jr. born 30 April 1859. He married Dicy Bramlett, his first cousin. He died in 1941.

10. Cordelia Morgan born 1862. She married Bill Smith.

11. Rose Morgan born 12 February 1865. She married Henry Hollis Bramlett, her cousin.

12. Belle Morgan born 1867. She married Bud Box.
