Rosannah Waters
1734- After 1790
Rosannah Waters was born 1 June 1734 in Prince William County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Philemon Waters II and his wife Sarah Bordroyne. She married John Farrow c 1751 in Prince William County, Virginia. On 25th January 1765 John Farrow sold his land and possessions in Pr. William County in preparation for their move to South Carolina. In 1776 John Farrow returned to Virginia for business reason. On his return trip he stopped at a relative's home In North Carolina. While there he took small pox and died.
The Farrows had settled on the Enoree River in Spartanburg District, South Carolina. When they had first moved to South Carolina this entire large area was known as the 96th District. On the death of John Farrow Rosannah was faced with the task of raising her family. Her oldest son Thomas was 21 years old at this time.

7. Aria Miles married Mr. Phillips.
2. Thomas Farrow was born 5 February 1755 in Pr. William County, Virginia. He first enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Orange County, North Carolina in 1776. He died in 1846. He married 1. Rebecca Ward 2. Patience Rochelle 3. Mrs. Anna Pattillo Harrison. The children of Thomas Farrow were:
1. John Waters Farrow born 1777, died 1848.
2. Rebecca Farrow born 1780. She married 1. Mr
Smith 2. Gabriel Styles.
3. Rosannah Farrow born 1782. She married Caleb Woodruff.
4, Mary Farrow born 1784. She married John Dean.
5. Sarah Farrow born 1787. She never married.
Thomas Farrow had no children by his 2nd wife. By his 3rd wife he had:

7. Nancy Farrow born 1798. She married her cousin Samuel Farrow.

4. Landon Farrow born 6 January 1759 in Pr. William Co., Virginia. He married Rachel Walker. Landon died 12 May 1799. His children were:

6. Mary Farrow born 25 November 1764. She died 7December 1843. She married James Clayton.
7. Jane Farrow born 1 August 1768. She died 28 July 1828. She married Spencer Bobo. No further information.
8. William Farrow born 3 April 1771. He married his 1st cousin Rhoda Waters. Her father was Col. Philemon Waters. This family moved to Marshall & DeSoto County, Mississippi. William died after 1852. Their children were:

2. Charlotte Farrow born 1799, died 1865, She married Willis Arnold.
3. Rosanna Farrow married Zebulon Bragg. No further information.
4. Nancy Farrow married Willie Adair.
5. Harriet Farrow married George Adair.
6. Elizabeth Farrow born 1808 married Thomas F. Murphy.
7. Jane Farrow born 1802 married David West.
8. Robert B. Farrow born 1814 married Cynthia ___?.
